Little Man

Isn't he a handsome little man!

Bath time

Eli loves bath time . . . as long as Daddy is giving the baths. It seems that Mommy takes too long.

Sleeping

Who needs a crib when you have the whole house?!?!?

Maybe we share the same barber . . .

Daddy calls Eli his little Orangutan. What do you think?!? We think the hair is awfully cute!

And more family

Aunt Cindy and cousin Kyra came to visit from Florida. We're so glad you came! And they brought us the news that Eli will have another cousin in November. YEAH!!

More friends

Our friends Liz and Phil came to visit from Indiana. We had so much fun! Thanks for coming!!

Visiting with Lilly

This is Eli's friend, Lillian. She was born exactly one week before Eli. And they were the exact same size and weight at birth. Their mommies call them two peas in a pod! They were even due three days apart. We enjoy play dates now but we're sure the kids will enjoy them more later.

More of Eli's first month

Eli's first few weeks

Lots of visitors, lots of love, lots of sleep . . .

Coming Home from the Hospital

This was Eli's first car ride on March 8. Mommy and Daddy were a bit more excited about it than he was.

One last big belly shot . . .

This picture was taken just four days before Eli arrived. We wanted to show you just how big I got! Besides, we needed to document for posterity that Loren and I went through this together. Eli is expecting a new cousin anytime in the next two weeks. We are excited for another Warnie baby!

Introducing . . .

Eli Michael arrived on Tuesday, March 6 at 1:18 am. He was 6 lb 15 ounces and 19 inches long . . . just about perfect, if you ask us.

Four weeks to go!

We can hardly believe this part of this journey is almost done! We have only four weeks left until the due date. I keep getting larger and I'm working on perfecting the pregnancy waddle. As you can see from the blog, this has been a busy month of travel for us. Thankfully, the travel part is all done. We are still busy, of course, but that is to be expected. Now in the midst of fund-raising, we are working to get the last few things ready to bring our little one home. He is as busy as ever. He has learned how to maximize the fun of his hiccups by kicking at the same time as the hiccup, which makes for a great little dance going on in my stomach! We are pretty sure we are going to have our hands full with this one! We can't wait to meet him!

We were showered!

I came back from Colorado a few days early to be showered! The ladies at church blew us away with their generosity and celebration. It was so much fun! From the fun decorations to the many, many gifts of useful baby things, we have been so blessed! And our little jungle pilot will be well cared for! THANK YOU!!

Colorado again

Right after Arizona it was back to Colorado one more time. This was a great week of reconnecting with friends, making new ones and enjoying God's gorgeous creation. We were able to stay right up in the mountains, next to the Garden of the Gods. And although this wasn't the view from our window, it looked very similar. We were there for new staff training. That's right - we took the leap! We have joined staff with Navigators!

Saying Good-bye . . .

Mid-January we had the privilege of going to Arizona one more time to join my family in honoring my grandpa. He went home to be with the Lord on Jan 20, after a very long, full life of service to his King. My entire family was able to come say good-bye. It was a celebration and a very full house!

Seven months done!

Can you believe it? We hardly can! The last months have gone so fast. we'll see how fast the next two go. This picture was taken on January 12ish. We are still doing very well. Our little boy just keeps growing. He is still very active, although because he is running out of room, his kicks are turning into pushes. His daddy thinks it is rather funny to watch my belly move as he moves. His other new favorite thing to do (besides stick his feet in my ribs) is the hiccups. He usually gets them anywhere from three to eight times a day. We find this highly entertaining, as my belly bumps with each little hiccup!

Another trip

January 4-7 we went back to Colorado for the next step of our conference that began in September. I must confess, we were not very good with pictures this time. You will just have to take our word for it. It was a great time. There was plenty of snow but the weather was beautiful. And we were even able to reconnect with a few new and a few not so new friends, including one of Katrina's teachers from boarding school! It was so fun to see you, Miss O! The traveling was definitely a little less comfortable for Katrina but we all survived, including the poor people who had to sit next to her on the plane when she kept making them move to go back to the bathroom AGAIN! Our little guy is getting to be quite the traveler already.

More Christmas

We had a very special treat for Christmas this year! My brother and his family, along with my sister came over from the other side of the state for the holiday.
Our house was full with nephews and a niece! This little helper of Santa's was more cute than a help . . . but with a face like this, who cares!

Christmas

Merry Christmas! This was taken Christmas day of our last Christmas with just the two of us. It was a very fun holiday spent with family and friends. We are looking forward to next Christmas already, though, and all of the changes that this little one will bring!
